Completed in 2024, the Kathmandu Project is the first fully operational project completed by Global Water Consortium in Nepal and the second of our 4 Project Campaign. Today, it is self-sustaining and creating a healthier environment for its community. In 2024 alone, it has produced millions of liters of water for people, making 21,000 liters per day, enough for the health needs of 7,000 people! In September of 2024 the monsoons hit heavily over a three day period creating massive flooding and mudslides killing hundreds of people. Our water project was directly hit by this and suffered damaged to the project infrastructure. Amazingly enough, within a week the project was back up and running helping an even greater marginalized population. More to come as we continue to meet the needs of those in this area!
